ENGINEERS, INC. is an engineering consulting firm with specialized experience
in traffic operations, transportation planning, and civil engineering design.
The firm was founded by Gay Lawrence Pang in 1982 as Pang & Associates.
In 1992, the firm was incorporated in the State of California as Pang Engineers,
Inc. The firm is led by Gay Lawrence Pang, the principal owner, a Registered
Civil Engineer and Registered Traffic Engineer in the State of California
with more than thirty years of professional engineering experience in the
private and public sectors.
The firm has completed numerous traffic and transportation projects such as the Junipero Serra Boulevard Transportation Study which included an origin-destination survey and analysis of historical accident data; preparation of the "Future Width Line Study" of a major county roadway system; preparation of conceptual and final designs for Segment 6, the Lick Spur in the Guadalupe Corridor; circulation studies for Park 'n Ride facilities at the Alma (Tamien) Light Rail Transit station; conceptualization and implementation of traffic handling plans for construction on a four bridge project on Lawrence Expressway, on a light rail transit grade separation with the Southern Pacific Railroad, on SR-152 Leavesley Road at Llagas Creek, and on eight bridge widenings in Palo Alto; master plan for 18 miles of Route 85 overhead guide signs.
The firm has performed traffic impact reports for major residential, commercial and industrial developers in the San Francisco Bay Area, designed traffic signals for Cities, Counties and CalTrans, and prepared traffic stage construction plans at major interchanges, along significant freeway segments, on major local arterial streets, and at bridge crossings. Typical land development traffic impact reports include trip generation, distribution and modal split data, intersection capacity analysis, operational analysis with TRANSYT-7F, traffic signal warrant analysis, Congestion Management Program requirements, and mitigation measures.
Recent design projects have been completed for the Santa Clara County Traffic Authority - Measure A Program, Alameda County Transportation Authority Measure B Program, and for CalTrans in Districts 3, 4, 5 and 10.
The firm has received a commendation from the Santa Clara
County Traffic Authority Board for its Traffic Engineering work on the
Route 85 / 17 interchange project and from the City of San Jose, Department
of Public Works, Design and Construction Division for the Monterey Highway
Widening Project.
